SIHH is the first event of the year for watch connoisseurs to set their eyes on the newest releases for 2018. The city of Geneva played host to the Salon International de la Haute Horlogerie, an annual event showcasing watch 'trends' from some of the world’s most prestigious and recognisable brands.

Cartier, IWC and TAG Heuer graced the internationally renowned exhibition with their latest innovative designs at the same time as showcasing some magnificent special and regenerated editions.

Many brands, whilst drawing inspiration from previous collections, launched new models which feature the latest technological advances and trends. From this perspective SIHH did not disappoint.

2018 is a landmark year for IWC as they celebrate 150 years and to commemorate such a special occasion, they launched a special ‘Jubilee Collection’. The luxury Swiss brand unveiled 27 limited edition watches, fitting into each of the existing families including the Portofino, Portugeiser and Da Vinci.

The most stand-out watch from the collection however, is the IWC Tribute to Pallweber Edition '150 Years'. Reincarnating the essence and history from the iconic Pallweber Pocketwatch, this really is a collectors watch. It becomes the first ever wrist watch with a jumping numeral module, referring back to the original pocketwatch from 1885. With its crisp white dial, this model is a fantastically classic depiction of IWC’s history and innovative nature.

Cartier is a brand renowned for elegance and style, and this year the Panthere Collection was revisited. One of the most iconic Cartier designs, the Panthere brings together fashion and exquisite watchmaking.

Seen below with a new diamond set bezel with the classic white roman numeral dial, even more glamour has been added to the already timeless design of the Panthere.

The Cartier Drive also took to the stage at SIHH, this time released in Stainless Steel or 18ct White Gold. Ideal for all wrist sizes due to its sleek shape, the updated model is perfect for every day wear, released in an extra slim version, pictured below in Stainless Steel.

SIHH became the setting for the unveiling of the world’s most expensive Connected 'Smart' watch. With the release of the TAG Heuer Connected Modular 45 in 2017, the model was revisited and showcased in a new diamond set version at SIHH this year. Set 23.35 carats of baguette cut diamonds, this really is a timepiece which has serious bling!!

Developed in collaboration with Intel and Google, the TAG Heuer Connected Modular 45 Full Diamond has all the elegance, features and finishes of a fine wristwatch, all whilst making history. This Swiss Made luxury watch incorporates the 150 years of expertise, knowledge and heritage behind TAG Heuer.

Also revisited but completely redesigned is the TAG Heuer Formula 1 Lady, a fashion watch that embodies the fusion of sport and lifestyle. Designed for women who love to live at their own pace, this model is the perfect marriage of fashion and functionality.

TAG Heuer is now reinterpreting this famous collection with a series of redesigned watches which can be personalised with an interchangeable strap.

New shape, new materials, new dials and new straps… the collection has been reworked to give the piece elegance and feminine curves.
