Rudells hosted a special event for VIP clients in partnership with Rolex and Mikimoto, whereby both brands showcased the Basel 2013 collections. The Oysters and Pearls evenings allowed customers to view exclusive pieces supplied by the respective brands. While enjoying champagne and canapés (including oysters of course!). The star of the show was the Platinum Cosmograph Daytona. With ice blue dial & chocolate brown Cerachrom bezel celebrating the 50th anniversary of this iconic watch. The collection also featured the steel GMT II. With a blue/black Cerachrom bezel the two colours representing day & night. This innovation in manufacturing has led Rolex to patent the technique of producing a bi-colour bezel from a single piece of ceramic. Rudells were delighted to welcome Richard DeLeyser, the Managing Director for Rolex UK. Who shared his extensive Rolex knowledge with the guests. Mikimoto continued the tradition of breathtaking fine quality Pearl Jewellery. Customers were able to view the new Cherry Blossom Collection. An 18ct White Gold pendant and earring suite that combines a single Akoya cultured pearl with diamond and pink enamel was admired by the ladies. Clients also had the opportunity to purchase pieces usually exclusive to Mikimoto boutiques. The 'World of Creativity' pendant comprising of 5,18ct White Gold interlocking rings scattered with cultured pearls and a row of brilliant-cut diamonds was stunning. Rudells were also fortunate enough to have one of Mikimoto's highly skilled pearl stringers. Setting up a mini version of their workshop and re-stringing pearls for customers. This was a wonderful opportunity for customers to have their pearls re-threaded allowing them to watch and appreciate the workmanship.
