It’s just under a year to go until world class athletes take over the vibrant city of Birmingham to showcase their exceptional skills at the Commonwealth Games 2022, and one of the games’ biggest partners and Official Timekeeper is on display in our very own Birmingham showroom.
Longines and the Commonwealth Games Federation (CGF) have signed a partnership agreement for the next three editions of the Commonwealth Games, starting with Birmingham 2022.
This agreement represents not only the first ever multi-Commonwealth Games partnership, but also is a testament to the excellence of Longines precision and timekeeping. Longines continues to cement the event’s world-class status by ensuring the timing and scoring equipment of the highest precision in the upcoming Games.
Located in the heart of the West Midlands is a Longines Countdown with its structure forming the iconic ‘B’ logo of the Birmingham 2022 Games. The distinctive shape was created by connecting 12 towns and cities across the region, joining together key Games locations, where for the 11 days of the Commonwealth Games, 19 sports, including eight fully integrated para-sports, will take place.
