Longines present their latest collection, a testimony to the brands pioneering spirit. The aptly names ‘Spirit’ collection takes inspiration from famous pioneers of air, land and sea who relied on Longines time instruments for their amazing achievements.

Longines watches and devices, thanks to their reliability, accuracy, robustness, and original technology, have contributed to the success of numerous pioneering exploits. Legendary aviators and explorers like Amelia Earhart, Paul-Emile Victor, Elinor Smith, and Howard Hughes put their trust in the winged hourglass brand on their incredible journeys. They have accompanied explorers on their journeys to the last unknown lands, defied extreme weather, navigated wild oceans and played a part in opening new air routes and establishing aviation records.

Linking history with innovation, the new models take traditional features from pilot’s watches and combine them with contemporary lines and codes.

A glowing tribute to these exceptional men and women who, by a record, an exploit, or a display of courage, have left their mark on history – encouraging new generations to push the boundaries.

All models from the Longines Spirit collection come with state-of-the-art technology, resulting in highly accurate movements that are all chronometer certified. From bracelet to brown and blue leather strap, the range encapsulates a vintage style in a range of dial variations.

Longines has fitted the Spirit Collection exclusively with self-winding movement with silicon hairsprings to guarantee extreme accuracy and increased longevity. The calibres, with a power reserve of 64 and 60 hours respectively, are chronometer-certified by the Official Swiss Chronometer Testing Institute (COSC).

The oversized crown, the flange, the pronounced step around the crystal, the font of the dial, the diamond shape indexes and the large, luminous “baton” hands are all elements drawn from the days of pioneering aviation, perfectly blending the old and the new.

Each is stamped with five applied stars, a Longines tradition that has always signified an improvement of the quality and reliability of the brand’s movements, with five stars being the maximum achievement.

The collection celebrates those heroes of the past and their state of mind that has never dated: one of an ambition to perform well and a quest for excellence.
