At the time, there were only six staff as the shop was much smaller than it was today. Starting at the bottom, her duties consisted of making tea, sorting the post and organising presentation boxes for the jewellery. Whilst working hard and developing her skills, 18 months later an opportunity arose where she was promoted to the stock department.
